Rice-box

For many  years we buy 20KG bags of rice. Somehow the bag is always in our way, causing us to drag the heavy thing around a lot.

So I decided to make a nice rice box with some wheels underneath. It is a nice opportunity to use my little workbench. I used some high quality plywood for streng with some fernwood on the outside to give it a nice look.

The result is a nice sturdy box.

I’ve made some square cotton bag, which fits the box and can be washed. It also makes it easier to get the last bit of rice out of the box.

And a heavy lit on top to keep the box closed and “critter-free”.
